How to backup using Samsung Kies

Samsung Kies-Air-Connect: If you are reading this and also, you have a Samsung Android phone, then you are in a big luck because, Samsung’s got its own proprietary software for keeping your device backed up every time and there application is called Kies Air that comes pre-installed on most of their devices, and also, its available on PC or Mac for ease of access and the called Kies on computer.

Kies Air application allows you to connect to any PC running on the same Wifi network, and you connect using your computer’s browser to explore or manipulate by viewing, copying, or transfering any of your chosen data presently on your phone unto your PC. The application assign you an IP (internet protocol) address to enter into your browser and then a PIN code, and after this short setup you’re good to rock.

While on your desktop, Kies program is specifically designed to backup your data, so start by  connecting your Samsung phone through USB (universal serial bus controller) to your computer and opening the Kies software and the, once Kies detects your phone is connected, it will display a setup icon for your phone along with information about how much free space you have left and vice versa, then, at the top, you will see a row of tabs for you to operate on by simply clicking on the 'Backup/Restore', check the box at the top for all items you want to backup and that will be all. 


So, enjoy yourself while the phone backs up for the first time and if you don’t want to preserve everything on your phone, Kies software can also give you the option of selecting certain menu such as contacts, music and then back up all up.
