How to use Blackberry subcription on Andriod after changing the IMEI

Android Operating System seems to be the best OS for mobile these days, but the only issue is that, many people avoid using it because of the expensive data it incurs each we use it, though there is a way you can disable certain features and tweak your Android so that it, not everything it zaps all your data plan so, most network won't create plans to suite and benefit Android OS users because of the data drainage.

In some Western part of Africa, people tend to resort to using blackberry phones since no GSM carrier wants to assists them in alleviating and cutting the subscription expenses. So, most Blackberry Phones have a edge over Android phone because, data subscription has already been tailored to work perfectly for them since Blackberry OS doesn't use much data. Most GSM carriers offer lower tariff plans on a daily, weekly or monthly basis and this is not so for Android devices. MTN Nigeria offer subscription monthly at the rate of $7 per month and this is not so for Android phone because they are yet to identify with it since they don't know much about them anyway, while this is a lot lower in Ghana but, that's has to do with the current exchange rate and the way people have cried out to the GSM carrier since their inception.

Initially, some BB plan usually work but, because of the abuses by Android users, so the GSM carrier created a barricade that now prevents Android OS devices from using it. So, you might need to check with any of your GSM carrier whichever may come handy to support what we are about to do. MTK android phones can be configured, and its IMEI changed (or masked) to be like a Blackberry IMEI. This is where you get to use this tutorial, by learning how to change your Android IMEI number and start benefiting from any of your GSM carrier that supports it. You might need to subscribe to a day blackberry data plan or a week just to test before subscribing to a monthly plan once it works for your network. Good luck!

Just of recently this seems to be one of the fast growing trends and what people wants to do to their Android phones so as to start benefiting like their Blackberry counterpart. So, I decided to get busy with changing the IMEI on my Techno M series Android Phone.

This tutorial here will only work on most MTK android phones, and some other android by luck. I used an an MTK Android base device for this test, and this same tutorial didn’t work for some Infinix phones, and I am still in doubt neither will it work for non MTK Android devices like Samsung, Levono since I was only able to test it with the single MTK Android phone I have and you can comment if after testing out with your phone and it works, kindly list the type of Phone and model. However, it should work for most tecno android phones, innjoo phones, earlier infinix phones and more. Just be sure you are using an MTK device (Antutu benchmark application should tell you more. Steps: First and foremost, you should copy out your IMEI numbers and save it somewhere safe, Just in case you’d like to change the phone IMEI number back to what it was in the future.

Steps are as follows:

Dial *#7465625# or *#*#3646633#*#* to bring out a secret menu. Depending on which device you use (whichever works for you. I can use anyone of them, they all works for me)
or manually go there through:

I that did not work for you, go to your settings> scroll to about phone> select status> IMEI information.
Later, select or tap on Call Pad or Connectivity Options. (amongst the options, Tap On CDS information).

*select the Radio Information. Note, in case your phone is dual sim, two options will be displayed here, and they are; Phone one (1) and Phone two (2). If you want to change the SIM 1 IMEI, then select that which applies to you by choosing Phone one (1), and vice versa.
 

*You’ll see a screen with AT+ at the top. Type E and some pop up options will be displayed. If you intend changing the Phone one (1) IMEI, select 1,7," and if its Phone two (2) IMEI, select 1,10,””.

* Now look close in-between the inverted columns(“”). Type in your new blackberry IMEI in-between the columns and insect a space between AT+. Thereby, you’d get something like AT +EGMR=1,7,”(New IMEI Number)”


One you have typed the letters correctly, click or select Send AT Command and you should get a successful command sent or at command msent "Depending on the android phone you use".

Now, navigate back to your phone screen. Turn On flight mode (Airplane mode) and switch off the phone.

Switch back to the normal mode and check your phone IMEI using *#06# and you’d realize one of the IMEI has been changed to the prescribed IMEI you composed earlier.


==> Fix in your already subscribed Glo bis sim and navigate to the internet settings. Use APN as blackberry.net and leave the username and password sections empty. Try surfing and you’d enjoy using your glo bis on your android phone.

You can simply borrow an already subscribed sim from friends if peradventure you have people who can borrow you and you don't want to test drive using a daily or weekly plan, navigate to the internet settings by navigating to where your Access Point setting is, and then use blackberry.net as your new APN, leave the username and password sections blank and try browsing from after minising or closing the APN interface. Enjoy so long as the SIM card of whichever GSM carrier you inserted works.
